South Sudanese Pounds gain against US Dollars as peace talks progress
The Khartoum Declaration of Agreement reached by South Sudan’s parties has brought a positive mood of peace to the country, with the South Sudan Pound started gaining against the dollars.
Several traders in Juba told juba Xposed that the South Sudanese Pound has shown signs of appreciation against the US dollar today at the black market.
Another facebook user wrote, “Dollars drop when they here Riek Machar is coming back to Juba”.
The traders explained that the price of US dollar against the South Sudanese Pound dropped to 28 SSP in the parallel market today afternoon, while previously the pound traded at 32 against the US dollar.
